The Indian Coffee House is a beloved restaurant chain in India, run by a network of worker cooperatives. With around 500 coffee houses spread throughout the country, it has become a significant hub for communist and socialist movements over the years, playing a crucial role in India's political landscape. The India Coffee Board Workers Co-operative Society Limited, No. 4227, Thrissur, was established on February 10, 1958. The very first Indian coffee house opened its doors on March 8, 1958, in Thrissur, marking it as the fourth ICH in the nation. Today, the society boasts over fifty branches in places like Thrissur, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram.
