Hotel Fort House is a charming medium-priced, family-run hotel. It is located by the waterfront in Fort Cochin, a town of cultural and historical importance, about 20 kilometers from the city of Ernakulam in Kerala. Well-situated within walking distance from heritage monuments such as the Old Synagogue, the Dutch Palace, and the popular antique market of Mattancherry, Hotel Fort House is an attractive destination for travellers looking for a comfortable and refreshing time away from the bustle of city life.
We began as a small, five-room family-run hotel and restaurant in 1997. Since then, the hotel has been expanded and upgraded while maintaining an atmosphere of homeliness, comfort and informality. The family continues to manage and administer the hotel, ensuring personal care and concern for all guests.
Our hotel has 16 spacious, airy rooms in the new part of the building and three rooms in the old one. The rooms are built around a lush tropical garden which opens out into a long 'thinna' or verandah that provides a view of greenery and the backwaters. Constructed in the characteristic Kerala architecture, the rooms have modern conveniences and are air-conditioned.

Fort Ayurveda and Cochin Ayurveda Centre are undertakings of Fort House Hotel operating at two localities in Fort Cochin: at Hotel Fort House on Calvathy Road and on Santa Cruz School Road behind the Basilica. Visitors of our centres can combine their treatment with a relaxing holiday in Fort Cochin. They can enjoy the pleasant ambience of Hotel Fort House with modern amenities and undergo pampering innovative therapies and classical Ayurveda treatments with a prescribed diet. The people working at both centres are fully aware of our guests' high expectations regarding cleanliness and hygiene. Treatments are applied by well-trained female and male therapists. Necessary directions on potential treatments, diet or lifestyle to be followed will be prescribed by our doctor. Our centres offer remedies based on preventive, curative and rejuvenate Ayurvedic treatments.
